Fond memories of John include his legendary Beef Pot-roast accompanied by none other than Durbanville Chardonnay.  He always impressed us with his culinary skills and much loved dinners.  John had a sense of humor that both Darren and Bryce had inherited. Entertaining dance skills :-)

John loved Grant, Darren and Cameron in his own unique way.  Don't ever recall him speaking a bad word about anybody.

He was not a publicly affectionate person but when Darren had his motor vehicle accident and we were so concerned about his survival I remember John sitting next to me quietly and just making his presence known and felt - in his way showing full support.
